Ingredients
- Water
- Hibiscus Flowers or Dried Hibiscus Petals
- Loose Hibiscus Tea (As an option)
- Cinnamon (optional)
- Fresh Lemon Juice (optional)
- Honey (optional)
- Sugar or Stevia Extract (optional)
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil.
- Put in the hibiscus (either flower or dried) and let it steep in the boiling water.
- Add in the cinnamon sticks to the tea, according to preference.
- Let it steep for about 15-20 minutes.
- If you intend the hibiscus tea to become stronger, add more hibiscus petals.
- Avoid steeping for more than 20 minutes. It could make the tea turn bitter.
- Strain and discard the petals.
- Add lemon, sugar or honey for taste
- Enjoy it hot or cool it in the refrigerator and enjoy it after it is cold.
- Hibiscus tea can be stored in the fridge for about 3 days.
